Jane's Shorts

Jane came upstairs the other day in a new pair of shorts.

Problem: They were a size 24-months
And they were for Henry.

Evaluation: Fit her tiny bum quite well.
Sort of matched her shirt.

Solution: She left them on.

House Update

For those of you who care, here are some updated pictures of our house. To the naked eye, these pictures may not seem very exciting. However, when you have on a pair of special "this-is-MY-house" glasses, suddenly everything you see is like the Taj Mahal. It is funny how some concrete and wood can be connected to your heart strings, pulling you towards it for too-frequent visits and making you beam with pride.

It is also funny (and kind of obnoxious) how suddenly I notice everything about houses...window sizes, window placement, front doors, roof pitch, countertop height, lighting fixtures, paint colors, sink types, etc., etc. It can be quite mind boggling, but I am crossing my fingers that in the end, it will all be worth it. It will. Right?

Kyle is either worn out from all this house stuff, or he can pray like Enos. He kept right on "praying" at this ottoman for a good 15-minutes after the rest of us finished family prayer.

Sheep Herding

A couple of weeks ago, we discovered that Henry has a natural inclination to sheep herding.
Seriously.
He can herd sheep like the best of them.
We visited some baby sheep that my sister's friends are raising, and from the get-go, Henry took over. He was pushing sheep left and right, giving them kisses, and some of those sheep followed him around like he was their long lost mama. He walked around like he owned the place.

Pushing and Shoving

Here is why I think baby sheep are cool:
1. They suck your finger. And it tickles.
2. They stick together...nothing cool about being a loner.
3. They make your kids smile and giggle like it's Christmas

A movie only a Grandparent will love...

This is a video especially for Grandpa and Grandma Standifird. Anyone is free to watch it, but be aware that there is nothing extremely funny, embarassing, or amazing. Just an excited (and adorable) 1 1/2 year old and the cutest roly poly baby ever (my nephew).

a REAL answer

If you are one of the many people who has asked me this question in the past few months,

"So, when will your house be done?"

You have probably received this lame answer,

"After it gets started."

Well, if you ask me this question now, you will receive a REAL answer. Ignore the fact that the answer will be something vague concerning 4 to 6 months...it is still a REAL answer. Because, take a look at this!

Three days of work...three problems...three solutions. Let the FUN begin!

The reasons we KNOW he's a BOY

Any object can and WILL be thrown, regardless of size, hardness, or proximity to other people (this definitely includes food).

He is an avid Sport's section reader. No joke.

He laughs hysterically every time the word "poop" is spoken.

Mischief and messes. (Look closely)

"No" means absolutely nothing, unless HE is the one saying it.

He can spot a basketball hoop ANYWHERE, including in the church gym...right in the middle of sacrament meeting.

He has already had a black eye AND worn a helmet.

A good ball game on t.v. is worth watching even when you are naked, getting a hair cut.

Thank heaven for little boys...especially THIS one!
