All in a day's work

Quick as lightning.

Quiet as a mouse.

This girl is good.

Here is what she managed to accomplish in just a short amount of time this morning...

A generous layer of lotion covering every inch of her body.

A generous layer of lotion covering many pair of shoes and the carpet.

A box of cereal spilled all over the pantry and kitchen floor.

Tornado in the control room.

Making a table into a stool to gain access to whatever she pleases.

Pretty typical morning.

Although she did forget to color all over herself with marker.

Good thing she is cute.

When my brother-in-law heard I was going to put up wallpaper, he was a bit worried. 

He had flashbacks to his horse clad wallpaper border from when he was a kid.  

Although a horse border was definitely in the running, 

just behind the green ivy printed wallpaper, 

these designs were my final choices...

A dear neighbor and my dear hubby helped me put up the wallpaper.

I feel like it is just the touch of color I needed in each space;

the perfect backdrop for a great piece of furniture and some fun artwork...still to come.

Jane made me a Valentine's card at school.

Pretty much the best Valentine's card I have ever gotten.

Kyle was included on the card until Jane added the "U-GO Girl" heart.  So, she conveniently erased his name from the front cover. 

And discreetly blackened him out of the picture.

Sorry Kyle.  Maybe next year.

Hockey Anyone???

We went to a BYU hockey game the other night.

It was lots of fun.

Especially for Henry.  

He looked very similar to the picture below almost the entire time.

Unless there were players getting slammed into the glass two feet in front of us, and then he was on his feet yelling "Ohhhh!" over and over.

Hockey is cool.

The Happiest Place on Earth

Here is what I learned this time around at Disneyland...

1.  Disneyland is much more fun when you are not pregnant and in a wheelchair with bad varicose veins.

2.  Disneyland is much more fun when your kids are daring enough to ride more than Dumbo and the Teacups.

3.  The corndogs at Disneyland are definitely NOT worth $7.

4.  You've always got a friend at Disneyland.

5.  Space Mountain ROCKS!!!

6.  Sometimes it isn't the rides that are most thrilling.  This may have been Lucy's favorite thing in the parks.

7.  The only way to do Disneyland is with cousins.

8.  Disneyland does not make for good hair days.

9.  Disneyland wears you out.

10.  The beach is just as much fun as Disneyland.  And it is FREE!

 Henry was totally and completely enthralled by it all.  He couldn't get enough.

 A little smoochin in the sand.  But not nearly as much as the couple just to the right of this picture.
